Solidarity with the Struggle of the People of Turkey

Statement of the Organization of Communist Internationalists of Greece (OKDE-Spartakos), Greek section of the Fourth International.

The Organization of Communists Internationalists of Greece / OKDE-Spartakos expresses its solidarity with the struggle of the working class, the youth and the people of Turkey against the Erdogan government.

A struggle that, although it began as a mobilization against the commercialization of Gezi Park, has quickly acquired the features of a political struggle against the antipopular and authoritarian Erdogan government, which, after consolidating its position against the Kemalists has launched a policy of Islamic neo-conservatism that violates elementary social rights and democratic freedoms provoking the indignation of the vast majority of the democratic people of Turkey.

The uprising in Turkey reveals the real situation in the country. Behind the economic growth rates, the prosperity of numbers and the capitalists, lays the reality of poverty and oppression of the working class and the poor social strata.

For us it is clear that the uprising is deeply social and that it is part of the chain of revolts that started in the French suburbs back in 2005 and continued with December 2008 in Greece, the Arab Spring, the workers’ struggles against austerity in a series of European countries and the uprising of the British urban proletariat in 2011.

Erdogan’s propaganda against the uprising, has found many allies in the Greek mass media as well as in the Greek nationalist cycles and the Nazi gang of Golden Dawn. This development is not accidental. Last week, the Turkish militant Bulut Yayla was kidnapped in the streets of Athens and was handed in the Turkish police. This fact also, reveals the relations between the two governments and their apparatuses.

As the working people in both countries are severely hit by the offensive of the capital, solidarity between the two people is more necessary than ever. We stand by the side of the Turkish people in revolt and by the side of our comrades of the revolutionary left who wage the battle of barricades and ideas. We denounce the murderous police attacks against the protesters in the cities around the country.

The Turkish “spring” shows that our days bear the possibility for a social and political overthrow, away from the barbarism of capitalism, based on the power and self-organization of the oppressed.

– Down with the Erdogan government. No trust to the Kemalists.

– Immediate release of the militant Bulut Yayla

– Long live the unity of the working class in Greece and Turkey

Clément Méric – Antifaschist und Gewerkschafter – in Paris von Faschisten ermordet

Nachfolgend dokumentiert ein Kommunique des Gewerkschaftsdachverbandes Solidaires, wo der ermordete Genosse, Clément Méric, Mitglied war:

Kein Vergeben, Kein Vergessen!

Le mercredi 5 juin 2013, en sortant d’un magasin de vêtements, près de la gare Saint-Lazare, notre camarade Clément, syndicaliste à Solidaires Etudiant-e-s et militant à l’Action Antifasciste Paris-Banlieue a été battu à mort par des membres de l’extrême droite. La mort de notre camarade s’inscrit dans le contexte de la progression d’un mouvement fasciste violent en France et ailleurs en Europe. Clément est en état de mort cérébrale des suites de ses blessures à l’hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière.

Sa perte nous accable. Notre douleur et notre colère sont encore aggravées par la certitude que nombreux et nombreuses sont celles et ceux qui, militant-e-s antifacistes, personnes exposées à l’homophobie et/ou au racisme, auraient pu et peuvent encore en être victimes.

Aujourd’hui, toutes nos pensées vont à sa famille et à ses proches et à ses camarades de Solidaires Etudiant-e-s à qui nous exprimons toute notre solidarité.

Cet acte odieux est inséparable de la multiplication des agressions racistes, homophobes par des militants d’extrême droite ces derniers mois et de l’installation d’un climat de haine entretenu par des discours politiques stigmatisant qui ne sont pas l’exclusivité du Front national et des groupuscules fascistes..

Au-delà des suites policières et judiciaires, l’heure est au renforcement de la mobilisation antifasciste. Avec Solidaires Etudiant-e-s, l’Union syndicale Solidaires appelle toutes celles et ceux qui condamnent cet acte odieux et refusent de laisser s’installer la vermine d’extrême droite à participer massivement aux nombreux rassemblements organisés aujourd’hui et dans les jours qui viennent, à Paris et dans les départements, notamment à celui de ce soir jeudi 6 juin à partir de 17 h devant le passage du Havre, métro Saint Lazare et à rejoindre ensuite celui de Saint Michel à 18 H 30.

Antonio Cubillo (1930-2012)

Am 10. Dezember starb auf Tenerifa Antonio Cubillo, Linguist, Antifaschist, Sozialist und kanarischer Separatist. In der BRD wurde Cubillo vor allem durch ein auf ihn 1978 im algerischen Exil verübtes Attentat bekannt, in welches einer Recherche des Spiegels zufolge Werner Mauss, V-Leute des niedersächsischen Landesamtes für Verfassungsschutz sowie das BKA verwickelt waren:

Zu den vielleicht zu unrecht vergessenen, linksradikalen Kleinorganisationen in der BRD (und hier v.a. in Hamburg) zählt die Freie Arbeiter-Union / Rätekommunisten (FAU/R), von welcher eine Reihe von Texten jetzt dankenswerter Weise auf der Webseite Materialien zur Analyse von Opposition online gestellt wurden. Die FAU/R ging 1983/84 aus den Spaltungsprozessen der Initiative FAU, der heutigen FAU-IAA, hervor und enschlief so um 1989 mehr oder weniger sanft (teilweise wohl Richtung BWK), offenbar auch weil die heterogene und heterodoxe Verortung der FAU/R unter Verwendung von Theorieversatzstücken aus anarchistischen, marxistisch-leninistischen, rätekommunistischen und anderen Schulen die Nachfrage auf dem linken Markt nur ungenügend bediente.

Kein Vergeben, kein Vergessen!

Die BRD vor 20 Jahren, im November 1992:

Der 52-jährige Rolf Schulze wurde von zwei Neonazis ermordet, die sich als Mitglieder der kurz vor dem Verbot stehenden „Nationalen Offensive“ und der „Nationalistischen Front“ zu erkennen gegeben hatten. Am 7. November hatten sie ihr Opfer aufgrund seiner Obdachlosigkeit im brandenburgischen Lehnin ausgesucht. Sie verprügelten ihn und erschlugen ihn zuletzt mit einer Propangasflasche. Nachdem sie die Leiche mehrfach im Kölpinsee untergetaucht hatten, übergossen die beiden Täter die Leiche mit Benzin und zündeten sie an.

Am 13. November 1992 wird der 53-jährige Karl Hans Rohn in Wuppertal ermordet. Der erwerbslose Metzger hatte in einem Gespräch an der Bar behauptet Jude zu sein, woraufhin der Wirt ihn beleidigte. Zwei junge Neonazis, die ebenfalls anwesend waren, schlugen den Mann daraufhin bewusstlos und erstickten ihn. Anschließend fuhren sie mit ihm über die Grenze in die Niederlande, übergossen ihn mit hochprozentigem Alkohol und zündeten ihn an. Die drei Männer wurden später zu Freiheitsstrafen zwischen acht und 14 Jahren verurteilt. Die beiden Skinheads sollen der Nationalistischen Front angehört haben.

Alfred Salomon hatte als junger Mann die Shoa überlebt. Seinen Lebensabend verbrachte der 92-jährige in einem Altenpflegeheim im nordrhein-westfälischen Wülfrath. Salomon starb dort am 21. November an einem Herzinfarkt nach einer Auseinandersetzung mit einem ehemaligen Obersturmführer der Organisation Todt. Dieser hatte ihn zuerst aufgrund seiner jüdischen Herkunft beschimpft und anschließend mehrmals geschlagen.

Der bekennende Antifaschist Silvio Meier war bereits in der DDR im Alter von 17 Jahren Opfer rechtsextremer Gewalt. Er hatte am 17. Oktober 1987 an dem Konzert in der Berliner Zionskirche teilgenommen, dessen Besucher von 30 angereisten Neonazis attackiert und verletzt wurden. Als der 27-jährige Meier am 21. November mit drei Freunden am Berliner U-Bahnhof Samariterstraße auf eine Gruppe von fünf Neonazis stieß, eskalierte die Situation. Den Neonazis hatten sie in einer Rauferei zuvor einen Aufnäher mit der Aufschrift „Ich bin stolz, ein Deutscher zu sein“ von der Jacke gerissen. Als die Neonazis die Gruppe um Meier wiedererkannte, zogen diese Messer, stachen auf die Opfer ein und verletzten Meier tödlich.

In der Nacht auf den 23. November fand ein von Neonazis mit Molotowcocktails verübter Brandanschlag in Mölln auf zwei von türkischen Familien bewohnten Häusern statt. Dabei starben die 51-jährige Bahide Arslan, die 14-jährige Ayse Yilmaz, sowie die 10-jährige Yeliz Arslan.
