Bergarbeiterstreik in Georgien

Nach einem erneuten Unfall, bei welchem ein Bergarbeiter getötet und mehrere verletzt wurden, sind die Arbeiter der Zeche Tkibuli in einen unbefristeten Streik getreten:

„The strikers’ demands are as follows: Open-end contracts for the workers in the mines; correction of health and safety state in the mines; Indexation of the wages (living cost adjustments) proportionally with existing inflation rate and increased prices on goods; Payment of all outstanding arrears for the workers who died as a result of work fatal accidents or inflicted severe injuries in the mines during 2010-2011; Improvement of working conditions for the employees of ‘’Saqnakhshiri (Geocoal); Establishment of fair remuneration system for the work carried out under hazardous, heavy and harmful conditions and etc.“
